Remembering Diana
This site was created in memory of our Diana Bailey. A loving daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, co-worker, and friend.
On February 10th , 2023,
our family lost a great person in our lives.
Diana Lee Thompson Bailey, age 68 of Alexandria, LA passed away at Our Lady of the Lakes Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge.
Diana is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Foreman Meehan. Diana was a daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, co-worker, and friend.
She was also an active member of her church at St. Frances Cabrini. She went to college and graduated in Business from Northwestern State University. She had two sons, Michael and Marcus – which she raised as a single mom. Diana always
had a welcoming smile on her face and loved her family and friends with all her heart.
She had so many close friends from Dresser Industries where she worked for decades providing quality account management and sales equipment support for people across the world. She was very dedicated to her job and the people she interacted with at Dressers.
She was strong willed and an incredibly determined woman. Once her mind was set on something she would not stop until she had accomplished it. This was in every aspect of her life. She went through many trials in her life, but always found a way to cope with it through her faith.
Her latest trial was lung cancer. She did everything the doctors told her to do and accomplished her goal of being cancer free! Diana influenced everyone’s lives around her, positively. She could really make you laugh, feel good and have fun! Diana’s family and friends will miss her dearly, but she will always be in their hearts and memories.
Those left to cherish her memory includes her sons, Michael and Marcus Bailey; daughters-in-law, Sue Ellen Bailey and Casey Bailey; grandchildren, Katlyn, Draven, Matthew, and Ryker. She is also survived by her sister, Susan and two brothers, Billy and Bobby.
